Background Information

As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Dr. David W. Howerton, Dr. Joel K. Hopkin and Dr. Gabriel M. Kennedy manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training after dental school. Drs. Howerton, Hopkin and Kennedy practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from facial surgery to corrective jaw surgery and wisdom tooth removal. They can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, TMJ disorders, and perform a full range of dental implant procedures.

Our surgical staff is thoroughly trained in general anesthesia and intravenous sedation within our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. In addition, Drs. Howerton, Hopkin and Kennedy are licensed by the State of Oregon to administer general anesthesia and intravenous sedation. The doctors and staff are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, CPR and by the Oregon State Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in office anesthesia and medical emergency management.

Surgical Staff

Our experienced oral and maxillofacial surgical staff are eager to assist you with your individual needs. They assist in administration of general anesthesia, IV sedation and surgical procedures. Our assistants are certified radiological technicians. They are caring staff dedicated to your comfort and well being.

Administrative Staff

All staff are informed administrative personnel well versed in medical and dental insurance policies. They will assist you with obtaining your maximum level of insurance benefits for procedures performed in our facility. Our staff is committed to providing high quality care to patients in a professional and courteous environment.
